They say that regret is the most pointless emotion in life. To me, there is much truth in this statement. I do not believe in the concept of failure; only deferred success. My view is that each day we learn, learn and learn again. It never stops – it is the greatest gift on the planet. The single exception to this statement is when we live on the wrong planet. They didn’t even name this planet after humans. They called it the rat race. I believe in inhabiting a planet that is full of humanity; where respect is the gateway to empowerment and where contributions of others are valued, irrespective of perceived social standing. By the same token, we should not overestimate others, so we think that they are on a higher level to us; nor should we ever underestimate ourselves, so we feel below anyone else. I used to do this all the time – we all have – and it is the one main reason we stay firmly on planet rat and not planet human. The problems we see every day then grow and grow because of this – the infestation of hate and not love. Let us put humanity back into our world. My training and coaching reflect such values above all else. I believe we should never underestimate what the power of our encouragement can do for a fellow human being. It will unlock the very best in others. Before we can do this, we also need to do the same to ourselves. We can then start living the real human race (where everybody always wins).
